One of the best games is Martin Brownlow's Public Domain version of CHAOS, a classic from the Spectrum 48k era. This topnotch game boasts samples from Blackadder, Monty Python, Red Dwarf and others. Very amusing and addictive. To find Chaos do a Yahoo! search for "Chaos Brownlow". Another 2 games worth a mention are POWER MONGER and JIMMY WHITE'S WHIRLWIND SNOOKER.

For sheer playability you cant go wrong with VOLFIED which was brilliantly converted from the Taito coin op to the ST by Empire. This great puzzle game was the most popular disk in my ST's drive before it sadly passed away many years ago. If you prefer all out action go for TURRICAN 2 to put your trigger finger through its paces.

BUBBLE BOBBLE - a real classic AND a great game. Capture monsters in bubbles, and then pop them, great two player game.
